Dancers from GMPA and Highland Dance VT will be performing a set of traditional Scottish Highland dances and a selection of contemporary highland choreographies at our September Showcase, held at the Grange Hall Cultural Center in Waterbury Center on September 14th.

Tour the educational community garden at The Waterbury Common Market and enjoy free food samples from our harvest.

This is a UVM Extension Master Gardener educational garden at Waterbury Common Market, a food resource for food-insecure community members from towns in the Waterbury area. The garden has raised beds of vegetables, herbs, fruit, and flowers. Educational programming provided by EMG volunteers teaches community members how to grow and prepare their own food. EMG volunteers partner with the Waterbury Common Market by providing gardening workshops, creating educational materials such as signage and handouts, and maintaining the garden.

Come see the amazing work, learn about some of the methods used, and enjoy fresh food samples. Free for all ages!

The Waterbury Library and Bridgeside Books are collaborating on monthly Silent Reading Parties!

You've probably heard about things like this in other places. The concept is that it's a time set aside to enjoy quiet reading time outside of your house, away from your obligations, and in the company of other people doing the exact same thing!

Bring a book. Read a book. That's it.

We will read for an hour or so, then if people want to, we can share what we're reading with one word to describe it.

NEXT SILENT READING PARTIES:

September 18, 5:30pm at Stone's Throw on Stowe Street. Drinks and food available for purchase.

October 21, 12:30pm at Paprika Catering on Bidwell Ln. Take a lunch break! Empanadas available for purchase.

November 12, 5:30pm at Old Stagecoach Inn on Main Street. Literary-themed cocktails available for purchase.
