Discover Waterbury, a place for once-in-a-lifetime experiences! Whether you are visiting for an afternoon or a week, your perfect vacation starts here. Located along the eastern fold of the Green Mountains, the scenic Green Mountain Byway, Mad River Byway, and Interstate 89 converge in Waterbury, making it the ideal hub for exploration. Waterbury is a place of dynamic experiences, with easy access from Stowe, Montpelier, Burlington, and the Mad River Valley.

We may be small, but our attractions, accommodations, dining, and shopping are mighty. Our natural environment is an ever-changing backdrop for outdoor activities, including several state parks with outstanding opportunities for hiking and paddling. Waterbury is also one of the best bike towns in Vermont, with acclaimed trail networks and après activities.

Waterbury is home to Ben & Jerry's, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Prohibition Pig, and other favorites for locals and visitors alike. Both in the historic downtown and beyond, there are many other great independent shops, restaurants, and artist studios. Each gathering aligns with the natural rhythm of the seasons, guiding you through cycles of rooting, blooming, celebrating, and restoring. Through mindful movement, nourishing practices, nature connection, reflective dialogue, and guided meditation, you’ll strengthen your nervous system, deepen inner clarity, and rediscover a grounded sense of center.

Come every month to create sustained transformation or drop in whenever you need a reset.

The Philosophy of Return to Center

Return to Center exists because I need it myself. We live in a culture that rewards speed, productivity, and constant motion, quietly inviting us into what often feels like a never-ending busyness Olympics. Month after month, I find myself longing for a full day to slow down, reflect, breathe, and be in the company of others who are also seeking perspective, health, and well-being. These retreats are my attempt to create the kind of day I wish were more normalized in our culture, a day to tend to the body, steady the nervous system, listen inwardly, and remember who we are beneath the noise.

Return to Center is not about self-improvement or fixing what’s broken; it’s about pausing long enough to feel human again, together.

All aboard for Train Day, Waterbury’s celebration of all things rail! A family-friendly event, the 1875 train station will host working model train displays, presentations and storytelling highlighting Waterbury’s train heritage, hands-on kid’s activities, and an all-ages trackless train ride around town.

Not Quite Independence Day (NQID) Celebration

June 27th

Waterbury's beloved annual Not Quite Independence Day (or NQID) celebration is back for another year! Sponsored by the Waterbury Rotary Club, all the festivities are happening on Saturday, June 27, starting with the Green Mountain Mile down Main Street and a parade after. Then head to Rusty Parker Memorial Park for food, drinks, kids activities (including a bounce house and dunk tank!), vendors, and a fun concert from the Dave Keller Band. At dusk, the spectacular fireworks show over downtown Waterbury ends the evening.

The 2026 NQID theme is American Time Machine! In celebration of the US 250th, we invite parade participants to take a journey through time — from the Revolutionary era to the roaring 1920s, the moon landing, Y2K, today’s innovations, and even visions of America’s future. Whether you’re channeling our founding ancestors, colonial inventors, jazz-age dreamers, civil rights heroes, 1960’s music, or futuristic explorers, your entry can represent any era in our nation’s story. Parade entries will be grouped in chronological order, creating a living timeline of American spirit, progress, and imagination. Costumes, floats, music, and storytelling are all encouraged — the more inventive, the better.

What will this class actually look like?
Let’s get quiet together!

I view this less as a class and more as quiet time together. I’m here for questions and guidance, and to help you access the real magic of stillness.

You’ll get comfy and oriented. Grab a mat, bolster, pillow, blanket, writing pad, tea- whatever you desire that will help you feel safe, comfortable, and focused. Make yourself at home. Mats, pillows, and blankets are in the hallway and the Flow Room.

Settle in, and at the 15-minute mark, we’ll be quiet together for 30 minutes. When the 30 minutes ends, feel free to stay quiet or share questions, thoughts, or insights. You’ll go on with your day with new vigor. Or, you can stay if you wish. Check out the space options on the Shared Office Space page and keep your slow vibe going!
