Now in its sixth year, “Broadway in Vermont” (Registered Trade Name) returns to Duxbury with some of Broadway's leading stars heading to the Green Mountains for a special outdoor concert event. Vermonter Merritt David Janes, who most recently starred in the Original Broadway cast of “SMASH” and “Back to the Future”, will perform with his friends on Monday, July 20st at 6:00 PM on the grounds at Moose Meadow Lodge in Duxbury. Enjoy hits from classic and contemporary Broadway musicals, along with some original songs. The singers, accompanied by a live band, will perform songs intermingled with stories about their professional journeys. Return to Center exists because I need it myself. We live in a culture that rewards speed, productivity, and constant motion, quietly inviting us into what often feels like a never-ending busyness Olympics. Month after month, I find myself longing for a full day to slow down, reflect, breathe, and be in the company of others who are also seeking perspective, health, and well-being. These retreats are my attempt to create the kind of day I wish were more normalized in our culture, a day to tend to the body, steady the nervous system, listen inwardly, and remember who we are beneath the noise.

Return to Center is not about self-improvement or fixing what’s broken; it’s about pausing long enough to feel human again, together.

Monday Nights Theatre Company cross-pollinates cultural workers and audiences from urban and rural communities through professional theatre, educational events and workshops.
